Linda Brink and I were honored to be the jurors for the annual "Hungry for the Arts" which benefits the Brookfield Backpack Charitable Fundraiser. It is a very worthy cause which helps to feed those less fortunate. At the same time, they are bringing awareness to the arts. The artworks that we judged were done by children in kindergarten through 12th grade. We saw some great pieces. Thank you to Tracy Plyler for the great work that you do. #artshowjudges#randomactsofartists

I am pleased and honored to have received a 2016 grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. This is the second year in a row that I have received a grant from the PPA. Last year's grant money went towards the beautiful Literary Garden art installation located on State Street in Sharon, PA in front of the Shenango Valley Community Library. This art installation involved 42 Random Acts of Artists Inc. artists who painted various sized vinyl posts in the theme of their favorite book or poem.
The upcoming project will again be an art installation in Sharon, PA and will involve about 40 artists. This is planned to be kinetic art installation comprised of painted panels that spin in wind currents. Completion date is projected to be July of 2017.
